An Estimate Is Not Always a Total
Hourly projections can change when the day takes longer than expected or when charges sit outside the quoted labor rate.
More than 30 years of hands-on residential and commercial moving work shaped a planning-first, flat-rate system designed to protect the customer, the property, and the price.
Popeye’s began the way many moving companies do—working hard, protecting furniture, and charging by the hour. But even when the work was performed honestly, customers could still be surprised by the final bill.
Moving time is affected by disassembly, wrapping, elevators, long hallways, stairs, parking, traffic, heat, rain, building rules, and the actual condition of the inventory. Under an open hourly clock, most of that uncertainty lands on the customer.
We decided to build a better system: review the real move before the truck arrives, identify the protection and access requirements, and prepare a clear written flat-rate proposal around the disclosed work.
Hourly projections can change when the day takes longer than expected or when charges sit outside the quoted labor rate.
Inventory, access, protection, equipment, crew size, packing, and destination placement should be understood before moving day.
Traffic, heat, rain, elevators, loading docks, parking, and building schedules can affect time even when the crew is prepared.
A written plan gives the customer and crew a shared understanding of the services, materials, access, placement, and price.
Our goal is not simply to put people and a truck at the address. It is to understand the job, prepare the crew, protect the property, communicate clearly, and follow the move through to placement.
Review the inventory, access, building requirements, protection, crew, equipment, and requested services before moving day.
Prepare the written proposal around the move that was shown and the services the customer requested.
Match padding, wrapping, bags, equipment, handling, and building protection to the specific move.
Keep the customer informed, address material changes directly, and guide the crew through the agreed moving plan.
Every step is designed to replace guesswork with better information, preparation, and accountability.
Send an inventory, photographs, floor plans, or a walkthrough and identify stairs, elevators, parking, and special items.
We assess the move size, access, protection, materials, equipment, crew needs, timing, and requested services.
The proposal identifies the planned work, services, materials, price, terms, and information used to prepare the quote.
The team begins with a clearer understanding of the inventory, access, protection plan, placement, and customer priorities.
Our team prepares each move around the property, access conditions, protection needs, schedule, and destination requirements.

Years of hourly moving experience showed us that traffic, elevators, access, wrapping, disassembly, weather, and other real moving conditions can make the final total difficult for customers to predict. Our flat-rate approach starts with reviewing the move and preparing a written proposal before moving day.
We serve Broward County, Miami-Dade County, Palm Beach County, and many surrounding Florida communities. Services include home, apartment, condo, high-rise, storage, office, and commercial moving, subject to availability and the reviewed scope.
Provide the move date, pickup and delivery locations, inventory, stairs or elevators, parking, building rules, packing needs, specialty items, and requested services. A clear walkthrough video, photographs, or floor plan can make the review more accurate.
Show us the move. Popeye’s will review the inventory, access, protection, requested services, and timing, then follow up about the written flat-rate proposal.
