Know the moving window
Confirm when work can start, when unloading must finish and when the truck must leave.
Elevators. Parking. Building deadlines. Confirm access at both addresses and give your move a clear plan before moving day.
Serving Broward, Miami-Dade & Palm Beach counties.
A condo move needs an approved moving window, a usable elevator or stair route, and a place where the truck can load or unload. Requirements vary by property; a reserved date alone does not confirm access.
Confirm when work can start, when unloading must finish and when the truck must leave.
Check elevator reservations, stair access, hallway distances and building check-in requirements.
Ask where the truck may stand and who arranges any required loading or parking permission.
Popeye’s prepares South Florida moving proposals from the inventory, pickup and delivery locations, access conditions and requested services.
Helpful to have ready: photos or a walkthrough video of your items, the route to the truck and any building access instructions.
Include your home, storage unit, store pickup and any additional delivery. Identify what will be collected or delivered at each stop.
Note the floor, elevator or stairs, hallway distance, gates, loading dock and any steps between the entrance and the vehicle.
Include furniture, boxes, fragile pieces and items that need disassembly, packing or special handling. Photos or video help show size and access.
Tell us what you will pack and what you want the crew to pack, protect, disassemble or reassemble.
Check each item with the pickup building and the delivery building. Send the confirmed instructions to your mover before the written proposal is finalized.
Ask when the crew may begin, when unloading must finish and whether the truck must leave by a separate deadline. Check weekend and holiday restrictions.
Confirm the reservation, which elevator to use, whether it is shared, and who provides access or protective padding. Check whether large pieces will fit.
Ask where a moving truck may stand, whether a loading space is reserved and who handles any required permission. Share photos of signs, clearances and the carrying route. Do not assume a space will be available on arrival.
Ask whether the building requires a COI. Obtain its written instructions, required names, submission contact and review deadline, then send them to Popeye’s for review. A request alone does not confirm building approval.
Keep the name and number of the person who can open the gate, dock or service elevator. Confirm the check-in process and share the access instructions for both locations.
Preparation, disassembly, protection and loading take time before the truck travels to your destination. A late start or unavailable elevator can leave less time to unload.
Tell Popeye’s promptly if either building changes its requirements. If the available window is tight, ask us to review the move sequence and any preparation that can be completed beforehand.
We review the route, inventory, access and requested services together. A calculator estimate alone cannot confirm a building’s schedule or reserve a move.
Ask each building separately. A pickup reservation does not arrange access at the delivery building. Give your mover the confirmed windows and instructions for both.
Share the expected truck location and carrying route before the estimate is finalized. Distance, stairs, gates and loading restrictions are part of the access review. Do not rely on an unconfirmed curbside space.
Send the building’s written requirements, required names, submission contact and review deadline to Popeye’s for review. Confirm the building’s approval before moving day.
No. It starts the review. Booking remains subject to availability, the written proposal, required documents and deposit terms.
Send your inventory, pickup and delivery details, and building access requirements through the Smart Quote form.
Submitting your details starts a review. It does not reserve a moving date.

Terri was one of the original co-founders of Popeye’s Moving Company and one of the kindest people you could ever meet. She was a devoted mother — beautiful, wholesome, and full of grace — with her unmistakable Southern swank, contagious smile, and the most beautiful ocean-blue eyes. She had a way of lifting people up and brightening anyone’s day, and the love and warmth she gave so freely became part of the heart of this company. We love you, Terri. You are missed dearly, but you will never be forgotten.
Industry recognition, mover registration, customer-trust programs, business awards, and local media honors reflect Popeye's long-standing commitment to professional moving service.
